On March 18th and 19th, the Brazilian Asssociation of Chemical Distributors Associquim will celebrate its 50th anniversary in Sao Paulo in the Fecomercio Congress Center. The biannual event of the Brazilian Association is the main chemical distributor event in South America. In 2010, the Associquim event has a very special dimension, given the importance of its 50th anniversary and the eminent role played by the Brazilian Association both in Brazil and in South America.
The event is well attended as most Brazilian distributors and suppliers participate to the event as well as distributors from South America , Europe and North America. More than 250 delegates attended the last events in 2006 and 2008.
Dr Rubens Medrano President Associquim will open the Congress on March 18th, followed by Dr Bernardo Gradin President of Braskem. Pedro Suarez President Dow South America and Carlos Mariano Bittencourt VP FIRJAN will highlight the distributors's role in the development of the chemical industry in Brazil. Dr Eduardo Angel of HSBC Investment Bank and Marc Fermont of DistriConsult will describe the new financial and business environment which influence distributors now. Marc Fermont's presentation title will be: "Chemical Distribution: the end of consolidation?"
Other important speakers include Dra Isabel Figueiredo Commercial Director Braskem, Dr Rubens Marcillio Commercial Director Oxiteno and Dr Rogerio Sousa who will highlight the important role played by distributors in the chemical value chain. Dr Abram Szajman President of FECOMERCIO SP will talk on Wholesalers' Responsability and Contribution.
Producers and distributors who wish to know more about Brazil and meet colleagues in the industry involved in the dynamic and growing South American and Brazilian markets will greatly benefit from joining and enjoying the 50th anniversary of Associquim.
