LONDON (ICIS news)--South African chemicals distributor CH Chemicals has been acquired for an undisclosed sum by Crest Chemicals, said Brenntag, Crest’s joint owner, on Monday.
CH Chemicals markets a variety of specialty and commodity chemicals to industries such as coatings, industrial formulators, fine chemicals, water treatment and mining chemicals as well as brake fluids and monoethylene glycol (MEG).
"This promising acquisition will strengthen our presence in the South African chemicals distribution market," said Crest Chemicals managing director Michiel Vijverberg.
Crest Chemicals is a joint venture between German distribution major Brenntag and South Africa’s Chemical Services Ltd.
